Hit and run!

So I have been working really hard at getting my truck into good condition and I find that somebody ran into my truck this morning and left the scene.

Could have been worse, but I still will have to replace the fender

Didnt do the fence much good either

If you are going to go for the hit and run there are few things that you may not want to leave at the scene of the accident...

So who can run tags?

I think you owe that fence a big thanks. I imagine it would've been worse without it.

And I'm sure the local police will be able to help you with that plate. Unless you wanna call the guy first, and uh, negotiate a reasonable settlement with him.

Actually the fence is the only thing that hit the truck, the pole was forced over by the car/truck. The police have the plate, was just curious if someone has the ability to run plates. They must have come back during the day looking for their plate because all of the bumper pieces were gone.

Talking

You might consider contacting the local DA and if and when this culprit goes to court, the court can make full restitution part of the terms of sentencing/probation. This way your not out your deductible, if there is one and you get the truck, fence and what ever else paid for in a hurry.

In fact this jerk, if he's got any brains at all (Already this is questionable) should belly up to the bar and get this thing paid off before any court appearances. JMHO

yea, make sure you file with the police about it soon.
you should have immediately actually.
They get a bit irritated when you wait, but you have pictures and the license plate.

Hopefully the perp didn't steal the vehicle. Given that they came looking for the plate probably not.

Well it says the "Show Me" state on the plate. Must have wanted to show you who he was after he hit ya... haha

that's a bummer that he hit you but at least you know who did it.
