I currently live in central Virginia and travel throughout the east coast from the Carolinias north (burn 3-7 tanks of gasoline a week in my 'company car' F150, my Expy is for personal use). There are others that also come to mind such as ExxonMobil that operate company owned station in my area that I do business with.
I know it can get real tricky trying to find good fuel in the midwest for instance as ethenol is seemingly in every station I have ever been to from Cleveland to Chicgo and Cincinati to Detroit.
Also, you need to watch some of the independants, 'discouters' and 'hyper-market' locations (Kroger, Sam's club, Wal-Mart, Mejier's, etc. The problem with many small market locations is if their inventory doesn't 'turn-over' often enough you could be buying old varnish gas. The problem with hyper-markets is they buy fuel from what ever terminal has the lowest price qoute for the load they get. they also 'pinch' the trucking companies and all other suppliers to and often past the limit. Quality is always the first to suffer.
My main point of reply to this whole thread is that you may be, if you drive as much as I do, needlessly throwing hundreds of dollars in someone elses pocket and getting nothing in return. I do find humor in the 'odd' person that I run into that will spend hrs shinning and caring for his truck/car and then fill it with the cheapest garbage he can find, often driving 30 extra miles to buy it
