ok i have a 98 f-150 with the 4.6 in it . the problem (i think) im having with this is...
the tube that comes out the drivers side valve cover and goes up above the intake is broke .... now i know this needs fixed but
is it normal .... (when this piece is broke) for it to pump ALOT of oil out the tube?
at a idle i can hold my thumb across the broke line and theres no preasure but i guess at highway speeds it really starts pumping it out.
Is shouldn't have much of anything coming out of it. That is the air inlet tube for the PCV system and should be drawing in a little air not spitting out oil. Either the PCV system is clogged or the pcv valve is bad or you have a lot of engine wear and there is some compression blow-by getting past the piston rings.
