Moyock, where did you get yours, and about what would I expect to spend on it? Will my thermocouple from my AutoMeter pyro work with it, or do I need to buy a different one? Sorry for the hi-jack.

I got my Insight, dash mount, and probe from autoanything.com last november for about $370. The probe is $80 and I don't know if you can use your old one because of the probe jack that plugs in to a extension just above the OBD II Insight cord.

And does the Insight monitor boost on the '03s?
Default graphic when powered up is Edge Insight...that can be changed to a different monochromatic pixelated graphic...and the duration of its dsplay can be changed as well. Its really no big deal...I haven't even messed with it. As for MY03 , not sure...I don't see why not. You could probably call Edge, or someone who has the insight with an '03 may chime in with an answer.

Yes, it does monitor boost on a 2003 6.0

I figured I'd need the one for the Edge. Thanks for the reply, maybe I'll wait until spring when work gets a little busier and grab one, I'm all excited about it now so I HAVE to get one

Tim, If you buy a Insight send me a PM before you spend the extra money for the probe. I am in your area once a week and I can swing by and you can see if your connector will mate up with the Insight connector or even splice in. It would be a $70-80 savings if your probe is still good.

Impossible unless you have their specially shaped plug that fits into the side port of the OBDII plug. Seems like they figured that one out. If you had an extra probe cord and plug, then you could cut it and would then be able to splice it. Its a great and simple design, but it is proprietary.

There is no such thing as impossible, If you can stick a Ford 6.0 in a 1962 Ford pick up, getting a probe to work is a piece of cake.

Hey, I'm as much of a "Let's make it work" as the next man....but I don't see the benefit over cost in making this work since I have the advantage of knowing what you're up against....but go for it...let us know how it works out for you.

I don't even know what Tim's present setup on the probe to the gauge is, but it should not be more then 2 wires. There is a possibility of wiring it up to the pyro input receptacle of the Insight cable providing his probe is still working.

Does anyone know where you can download the Edge user manual? I looked on their website but couldn't find a link.

Thanks

EDIT: Just answered my own question, owner's manual is available at this link Edge Products: Product
I found a site that has the manual on it.

Edge Insight - Digital Gauge Display Monitor EP83400 : Trailer hitch bike rack and trailer hitches - etrailer.com

It is down near the bottom.
