5.8L windsor or modified?

are the 5.8L in the 90's trucks a windsor or modified?

Hasn't been a 351m in a Ford truck since about 1980.

I think the last gasp for the 351/m-400 was 81' in the F-250/350

Since it was before my time please excuse me for asking but what was the difference between the windsor and the modified, were they the same block with different stroke or what.

They're totally different engine families that share nothing in common except displacement, you can find lots of info on the web on these engines.

Main difference is Windsor is small block and modified is big block.
As stated above: 2 totally different animals

engines

the windsor is a small block...less weight better inthe mud! modified is big block.. heavier not good for much. windsor is compatible with 289 and 302

sorry but i have to say it so im just gonna say it an be done. Ford does not have small blocks or big blocks that's chevy talk ford has families. there done. but yes to agree what i do know they are two totally different animals.

No, my Ford has a big block 460 and my Bronco had a small block 302. Sorry.
