Exclamation Ya'll have to see this Monster...Osh Kosh MAPV (Military All Purpose Vehicle)

I saw this while kicking it down I-75 from Michigan to Tennessee on Wednesday...there are 100 more of 'em following...

This will be my next rig if it ever hits the streets in USA...it's 98 inches wide, 15 feet long, and 9 feet tall and weighs @17 tons...and it doesn't take 4 miles to get to 60 like the Hummer1 did...lol...

EDIT: Crap...went back through the pics...it is a M-ATV...thats the model...Military All Terrain Vehicle...my screw up...

Not really sure WHICH motor it is, but it looks "exactly" like the 3208, but with quad turbos...oh, and even though i wasn't allowed to get a pic, it has the turret in the roof, and the twin 50's were what was in the crates in the pick-up area...the driver said the test facility drivers were friggin impressed with this thing...they all had permagrins....lmao

If memory serves me correct this is supposed to be the replacement for the HMMWV. The M-114's with the newest up armor packages and the turret on top weigh way too much and are ungodly slow. I believe Diesel Power magazine did an article on this vehicle when they still had their Military Power section.

Yeah, this has the flip door turret with removable 50's, but it has the armor package...we've already discussed the weight...

the previous link says the weight is lower than what the DOT scales read according to the rig driver...but, there was 3 more 5/8 plates under a tarp on the front of his lowboy, i dunno what they weigh...
