Monster diesel

I was watching american chopper last night and they built a bike for a company called monster diesel. Its an additive for diesel fuel to stop gelling , unbrnt fuel ect ect ect. I believe the site is monsterdiesel.com.. Just wondering if anyone has tried it yet.. I think its 20 bucks a quart that will last 250 gallons of diesel..Anyways just something I saw. I might check it out..It was a pretty cool episode, they put a diesel tractor engine on a chopper...

I saw the website. From the claims they make, it sounds like more snake oil.

Since I may be the first on here to try it, i'll give ya the heads up. It works! I heard about Monster Diesel about a month ago. They haven't been out that long. I was interested in them so i first purchased a quart to give it a try. Well the results were impressive. I ran my tank down pretty low, added the recommended amount, filled up and went on my way. Instantly it felt like it had some more pep to it. After calculating my mileage, i gain a little over 1.0mpg. Most likely its about the same as dieselkleen.

Kind of what I'm thinking too. My reply in bold.

Clipped from their site:
  • Reduces diesel consumption by as much as 15% Most others make the same claim
  • Boosts diesel fuel’s energy(cetane rating) by 10% for increased power and mileage per gallon Most additives on the market currently offer the same benefit
  • Reduces metal to metal engine wear and friction by as much as 40%, to reduce down time How?
  • Winterizes diesel fuel to allow low temperature operation, preventing gelling and eliminating the need for expensive #1 diesel fuel Winterized(premium) fuel is around $.05/gallon more(at least it is here) Others offer the same benefit.
  • Boosts the cetane number by 12.5%--twice the boost of premium gas over regular Which one is it, 10% or 12.5%? Gas?
  • Eliminates engine knock I'd have a hard time hearing it anyway. If it's knocking you probably have other, more serious problems.
  • Provides corrosion control in the fuel system Most additives do.
  • Supplements fuel to make up for the loss in lubricity that occurs when using ultra low sulfur diesel fuel Most additives do.
  • Extends the life of your engine Prove it

I also watch OCC last night and was going to ask the same questions you ask, but I was running late this morning
.
Went to their web site and filled out there form for a brochure with more infomation, and I think a free sample.

I like to find out more about it before I try it.

Just requested my brochure and sample as well.

I read the testimonials, (If that is what you want to call them) and the longest one at the bottom of the list goes into more detail about the issue this stuff fixed for them....Sounds like he had a UVCH problem.... Now how does this stuff fix that? hehe

Just fill out the info for a brochure and it will tell you that you will get an email when the sample ships out.

I saw that episode of OCC last night. I thought the fact that they put a diesel in a chopper was pretty awesome. Had a pretty mean set of stacks on the bike too. I didn't get too excided about the product though. I like my Diesel Kleen just fine...
