Very doable. If you don't do the research a 12, if you get all the info a 6.
First thing to do is figure the cost and make sure it's gonna be worth it. Second, have a local tuner lined up to get the bugs out after the motor is hooked up. Sometimes its cheaper to go buy the truck you want to build, the only thing you miss is the satisfaction of the completed build. Good luck and do the research!
