I think the V10 has a slight advantage at sea level, but the higher you go in elevation, the more any psd will kick the V10 in the jimmy.
Speaking of that, there is one user with the v10 over in the Superduty Section that has in his siggy to the effect that:
My v10 will outpull your PSD*
*must be a stock 7.3 and the test has to be performed at sea level
He goes on to say that his v10 will out pull the 6.0, 6.4, and 6.7 when he does some type of performance mods. That should give you some idea of the confidence level of his truck in particular.
Is that thread the one that has over 3k posts in it? ( last time I saw it anyways) Thats one of the big reasons I don't go up to the SD forum much, its just . Aggrevating.

That's the one. He actually had a siggy that was more ballsy, but after awhile of dealing with me(you know how I can be) he changed it to roughly what I just put up. I used to go into the SD forum as there were some users that would ask questions about the 6.0 or diesel in general in there, but I really have cut down how often I go in there.
I remember his siggy being ballsy, was it something like My V-10 will out-pull your 6.0 any day? I feel bad for 6.0 newbies or guys that don't know to come down here where the water's alot nicer. You and I both know the 6.0 doesn't get a favorable opinion up there.

The v-10 wont outpull a 6.0, deff not a 6.4 and for sure not a 6.7. Ive driven a 7.3, 6.0, 6.4 and a v-10. Ive towed with all motors to. The 6.4 is a true beast and the v-10 doesnt even come close. It also doesnt come close to a 6.0. The only diesel a v-10 will out pull is a 7.3. But the v-10 can only outpull at 7.3 IF it has 4.30's. If it has 3.73s then forget it. But thats if the 7.3 has 3.73's

I gotta cry foul on that one!! There will be no real world experience brought into the debate. The debate will only include calculated numbers based on peak hp numbers and a magazine article...not just any magazine article, but a specific magazine article. The one that said a V10 doesn't come close to a 6.4 was done by a hack journalist....blah...blah...blah...
My 6.0 when it was stock out pulled my 2000 V-10.
I was getting 8.9 MPG pulling with no power.
Now I get 12.9 MPG and pass all the V-10's...
Once you go Diesel you never go back...

Here is what he has now: "My V10 will out pull your PSD any day of the week.*
*If you have a stock 7.3.
Test must be under 4,000'
I will smoke the 6.0,6.4 and new 6.7 after I do the turbo mod and PI head mod. "
He used to have it where the 7.3 had to have 3.73 gears and all that kind of crap by the time you got through it all, you might as well go "what's the point?".
That must be one special truck he has. Ah well, it takes all kinds to make this world go 'round. I'm perfectly happy with my truck, as I'm sure he is too, and at the end of the day I guess thats all that really matters.
