Hey,
So I have been having problems with my E40D and have posted here the last couple days and have gotten lots of good advice and unfortunately I need some more. So to make a long story short I have a 94 F-150 5.8L w/E4OD and I just had the tranny rebuilt and it would shift really harsh and someone said to check the filter so I did and sure enough it had fallen out so I put in a new filter and fluid and that solved the shifting problem but now it shudders going into 3rd. Just wondering if I damaged something with that filter having fallen out, there was no metal in the pan and the fluid was still good. I did a search and found a lot of people used the Lucas additive and was wondering if that might work or if I damaged something in the TC or internals of the tranny. Would it be advisable to try the Lucas or not?
