backup lights

I just recently found my backup lights don't work. The fuse though is not blown. Isn't there some kind of switch on the automatic column somewhere I should check?? This is a beautiful '79 F150 4wd with stock 351M engine and no changes to the wiring. It has factory cruise/tilt on the steering wheel so I'd like to avoid taking the steering wheel off if possible.

Jeff, the switch is on the column down near the pedal area, and has been known to cause trouble. Thats where you'll need to start from.
