My wiper motor has no intermittent or park feature, it works wide open though. Has anybody had this problem? I have ordered a new motor but have no clue on how to install it. Does anyone know how to go about getting to it? thanks
Have not heard of that problem before.
You didn't mention front or rear.
This is for the front.
Wiper motor is mounted under the cowl cover. The black plastic cover under the wiper arms. Take the wipers off, the whole arm. Then there are a few phillips screws that you will see. Open the hood and take remove the rubber bulb at the end of the cowl and then the plastic push ins,(they are also holding the wire bundle). Once those are off, you should be able to take off each side of the cowl, and then see the wiper motor.
Rear motor is in the lift gate. You have to remove the interior trim, and then you will see it. You will want to lube all the locking mechanisms in there if you are changing out the rear motor.
The functions of the wiper motor are controlled by the Generic Electronic Module (GEM).
If High and Low work it's probably the switch or the GEM or a communication issue that would be caused by a worn cabe.
I got this info from the service manual. It also says it could be a motor.
