Hello all,
It's been a long time.
I was wondering if anyone would be willing to trace their small back window glass for me so that I can have it cut locally. I will gladly pay for the paper and shipping.
This spring will (hopefully) bring the end of my 6 year build. When I bought the truck in pieces back in the winter of 2004 I was recently married. Now I'm a father of 3 wonderful boys (5,3,1). I can't even begin to explain how hard it's been to continue progress when life gets in the way. Let's just say it motivates the heck out of me when people tell me it can't be done.
I've still got a fair amount of work to do but there's 4 more months of snow that will keep me in the garage.
Thanks to all the FTE members that helped me get here. I've still got a 3 ring binder with all your advice from the beginning.
Thanks Kyle, they are 1949/50 Mercury car tail lights. A little twist and they fit like a glove.
I know, I was just funnin ya, My 56 is a late 50's, early 60's custom and I put those same tailights on years ago, It is funny how they do fit so nice. Old Henry was a hell of a designer!
Hello,
I know this is an old post but I need the same pattern, do you still have it? If so could I get a copy? I'll pay for paper and shipping.
Thanks
Doug
MAC's has a sale on glass til the end of March. Personal opinion, nothing fits like factory-cut glass.
I second that. While flat glass seems like a no-brainer to cut out at the local place, so many things can go wrong. I wasted so much time/gas/money trying to get a pattern to the glass cutter and getting them to use the right glass, etc. Buy the piece from one of the vendors and move on. I bought my back glass from LMC, arrived safely and had no problems. Just make sure you install it correctly (installs from inside out on the rear glass). Good luck!
