Just curious,I always thought I had a C-6 but there are a cluster of e-lectric wires on the side of it,what are they for? And is it something other than a C-6?

If you are talking about the ones where the shift linkage hooks up, it is your nuetral safety switch and backup light wires.

Star is right it's the neutral safety switch which is integrated reverse light switch too. It's aa non service item and are pretty expensive in my opinion. With that said I had problems with my "new" one so I drilled out the rivets to "tweek" the insides alittle so it would function correctly. I reassembled with screws so now it's serviceable.

I replaced a NSS/BU switch on a C6 once, it wasn't terribly expensive, $20-30 IIRC. At least my reverse lights finally worked.
