I agree newer diesel does suck, best thing for newer diesel is dump plenty of additive in it, i have read that bio diesel will keep your fuel system very clean and in great shape

If the bio d was a little cheaper I would run it.It will clean out the system and keep lubed real good. As a matter of fact after you start useing it you will be changeing your filter as it will plug it up with all the crap it nocks loose. Most places that sell it are the co-op stations and some small shops.

3 or 4 years ago I got on a bio kick and B20 about 4500 miles worth it was supposed to up my mileage and be better, now this is in my big truck the only thing it changed was my fuel filter and I was usually paying 20 cents a gallon extra for it.
I like diesel and run some howes every other tank in the winter and every once in awhile in summer.

Now if you want to take some away from the arabs vote, it is a goofy dream making diesel out of fuel. If we all run 100% bio we could not afford food.

I feel sorry for you guys. I buy B100, its delivered to my house for free and it has been running me about 30 cents a gal. cheaper then fuel at the pump. I have been using it for 4 years now in my VW and 1 year in my truck. I love it. I average 40 mpg in the VW around town, 50+ on the highway. The only problems with it is the colder the temperature gets the less you can use in your blend because is gels at a higher temperature then diesel. The other problem is if you use it in an older vehicle it will clean all the crap out of your tanks and fuel system and plug up filters. This is a temporary problem because once the system is cleaned out it stops plugging filters. It keeps things lubed up good too. One thing I would not recommend is burning filtered veggie oil. True bio goes through a process that removed the glycerin from the oil, if you don't remove the glycerin it will gum up the engine over time.
