400 knock

i am still trying to find out why my engine knocks.it is not the top end,it sounds like its coming from the bottoom end,but here's the good part,it doesnt knock until it is warmed up real good.it knocks alot louder in gear than in park.in park you can barely hear the knock.when it is in gear it will knock but quiet down when you accelerate but get louder when you let off the gas.the flywheel,torque converter,and oil pump are fine.i took the main cap and bearings off the caps were fine and the bearings were very slightly worn but other wise in good shape any suggestions before i go ripping out the crank?any help would be appreciated.

did you bother to plastigage the mains when you put them back on? did you notice any slightly bent rods? did you check the rod bearings?

just a couple things to think about
