hello i have a 199 f250 sd the truck runs great down the road awesome power but when u let it sit and idle for 5 min or 1 hr or 2hrs it starts building pressure in the degas bottle i lose heat then it comes out of the bottle drive it down the road its fine was told it is probably a headgasket issue but it does not overheat the temp gauge is always at half mark when up to temp someone also told me combution leak please help
First off, why are you letting it idle for 1-2 hours?
It is probably a head gasket issue, though they aren't common on the 7.3 PSD unless you are running over 30lbs of boost constantly. Are you getting fuel or oil in the degas bottle also? Head on down to the 99-03 7.3L PSD forum and dig around, there is a ton of really good info and helpful folks.
