TUNER Newbe ?????'s

Well it's finally about time for the GETTIT !!

and have a few questions. What is the difference between the 3 that SCT offers other than price? For the good and bad.

You mean difference between the units or the canned tunes versus the custom ones?

Well is it easy to download the customs? Which one offers the best compatibility (does more)? Ya'll have to excuse me I've been working 7-12's for a while and the Brain is fried!! I like the way the moniter looks but have heard one has issue's.

the livewire is the one that has issues. custom tunes are easy to install, and are the only way to go. I would suggest going with innovative diesel here is a link to the one I would get SCT Diesel Part # SCTX3IDP - SCT X3 Programmer- IDP Custom Tuned - Diesel Performance Parts

So I have a question about the tuner in the previous post. Does the custom tune cost extra from the programmer? Also do they give you one overall tune or do they create different ones? (towing, economy, etc..)

the one that I posted above has the custom tunes with it. you should get 3 tunes, of your choise, with it.

Except for the race tunes. He sells those extra. You can get 3 like tow(or economy etc), street, and xtreme street, but unless he changed it, you won't be able to get the xstreme race within the package deal.
