Welcome to the forum.

I think you are asking if you can but on old ford truck obdy on a new frame. In short, yes, given enough time, skills, and money you can do anything you want to one of these old trucks.
That being said, its not an easy task and not for a beginner. There are alot of cheaper and easier ways to get a more modern drivetrain and comfort level into these old truck.

There are several independent front suspension swaps that aren't too bad; the mid sized mopar torsion bar front end, the camaro/nova front subframe, the jaguar front swap is almost a bolt in.
Power steering, disc brakes, AC, etc are all fairly easy to add. Again, it all come down to your resources and skill level.

Hi Welcome to FTE.

There are lots of guys who do this kind of thing here. I'm sure they will come along and post some links to previous discussions folks here have had on the subject. There should be quite a bit of experience with it here and quite a bit of data!

It would be far easier to modify the chassis on the old truck with your modern drivetrain and upgraded suspension, than to attempt a body swap to put the old body on a late model frame.

Welcome to the board.

Since you're new here and have less than 25 posts you won't be able to use the search feature of the board but you can do just as good, if not better, search using Google. Search using terms "Chassis" "Swap" "Frame" and you'll find a lot of posts on the subject.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...ternative.html

For the longest time asking a question about a modern frame swap would have gotten you some very heated responses but I think it's been asked to many times the nay sayers have gotten tired of answering it. If you have the experience, tools and skills to do major modifications I say go for it. If you don't the easiest thing to do is suggested above, modify your stock frame.
