Hi all, first ..I went out today after the 2 inches of rain and fired up the old 48 F-6 and with bare ground I had enough traction to move it ahead what ever was locked up on the brakes let go everything seems to work now.....and back to my other question I got a steering wheel puller at Napa and naturally that won't work on the old steering wheels so do I need some type of puller to go around the outside and hook on to the hub of the wheel? Or just get a bigger hammer? Thanks

I used a 2-arm bearing puller on mine which worked quite well.
Some have the holes for a puller and some don't. I had to use a BFH to get the one off my 48 F-3. I was fortunate in that the wheel was no good to begin with because it certainly was trash afterward. My 49 F-1 had the holes...go figure!
Thanks to all,I had to drill and tap mine and used a wheel puller ,popped right off and new wheel is installed. Nice first name Vern same as mine.
