Need some help here. When I first purchased my truck I installed a magnadyne in-line transmission filter on the line going into the cooler. It was done this way since the truck was new. Now I want to install a after market spin on type filter and base like the DieselSites or SpringerPop's. My question is can I keep the madnadyne in place before the cooler and use the other after the cooler and going back into the transmission to get the best of the two, or is that too much back pressure on the transmission?
Should I use the spin on in place of the magnadyne or take off the magnadyne and install the new spin on after the cooler? Or leave thing's like they are?
The filter base set up I will be using is a Baldwin OB1318 (25 psi) with a Baldwin BT839 filter.
Will be making the installation in front of the truck somewhat like SpringerPop's has his.
i would take off the magnefine filter and put on dieselsite's filter. it goes in the return line right where it goes back into the trans. i had one on my truck but took it off when i got the BTS.........
my truck never had a magnefine on there but i put one of dieselsite's filter's on there. brian at BTS took it off for some reason he doesnt like them. i ended up putting it on my father in law's truck.......
Subscribing....... I have an magnefine filter to install when I add the extra cooler I have. But this also crossed my mine the other day if a spin on setup would be better.
