Need some motor help????????
I have a 90 bronco, 6 inch lift, 35 tires, 351w, auto tranny. I dont drive this truck very often but this past weekend I decided to stretch her legs and make around a 300 mile trip.
Around 4 miles from home, I noticed I started to miss alittle bit and lose a little power. The motor has 185000 on it and never had no problems other than a leaky valve seat on the left side.
I pulled over to see what was going on and smoke poored out of the pipes, (true duals) No knocking, no pinging that I could here, Well I decided to just drive it home since I was so close, BLUE SMOKE was everywhere.
I got home and pulled the plugs, I noticed the dipstick was lifted about 1 inch out of the tube and oil blew out of it. 3 plugs where soaked in oil. 2 on the left side and 1 on the right side, This whole time I never lost oil pressure, the truck never overheated.
Is this my rings, my valve seats or valve stem seals or so freaky vacuum thing.????????????????? Where do I start.
Thanks in advance for any help
and Semperfi!!!!!!!!!
You could try running a compression test on all cylinders. More telling would be a bleed-down test on all cylinders.
