Dana 44 question
What is the highest gear ratio that is available for the Dana 44 front end in my 4x4. The pickup doesnt get used for pulling anymore. Its mostly used for cruising and busting snow drifts in the winter. So can I go to 3.25, 3.00 or even 2.75? The highest ratio I have seen is 3.50 and that is what I have now. Any help is appreciated.

I am not really sure of the highest gear available but I am quite sure you have to keep the same ratio in the front and the rear. Otherwise when you put it in 4wd bad things can happen to your drive train.

I have already planned on putting a 2.75 rear end in if I can find the same gears for the Dana 44 in the front. I knew that if you dont run the same gears front and back it will ruin something real bad real fast.
