Was just wondering if the 5.4l or 4.6l was ford's answer to the LS1. I have a few friends that WHOOP my **** when it comes to gas mileage and performance with their LS1 Powered trucks against my 302 and i been trying to find what fords answer to the ls1 is and maybe do a swap in my project truck. I am curious as to gas mileage and performance which one is better in a 4x4 extended cab truck?

Gt 40 heads are the answer for power and there is no answer for mpg, just keep your foot out of it

Neither is the answer to the LSx GM engines. The new 6.2L coming out next year may give them some competition.
