Considering 2004 F250
My dad is considering a 2004 F250 5.4l 3.73 gears 29,000 miles. The truck has a 6 inch lift 37 inch tires. It has push button air bags. My dad tows a 21 ft boat ~5000lbs. Very nice looking truck but, I'm wondering if he will be short on power. What do you think? Are there known problems he should look out for? Thanks for any advice.

The truck is a 6 speed manual also. With 3.73's and 37's I thought it would be a pretty big load on steep grades. Do the 5.4's still have problems with the spark plugs coming out? Is there a special tool required to pull them now?

That's cool, the 6 speed should help it some power-wise.
Everything I've read says that the spark plug spitting problem was fixed by 2004.
And, as far as I know, the special spark plug tool only comes into play for the 3V 5.4's (2005 and up)
