Tranny troubles ????

This site has been a great tool for me. i Just joined earlier this week and i have found so may useful tips.
i have been working on my 90 F250 4x4 with a M5OD tranny. i bought the truck knowing that it needed tranny or clutch work.
When the previouse owner had it he was driving and stoped at a light and the clutch went out as he thought and he tried to jam it into gear. that was a bad idea!
Friday i pulled the trans and T case out. i seen the slave had became a million parts in the bell housing. i bought a new one and also put a new clutch master cylendar because it had week presure. after installing all the new parts and a good bleed on the system we went to take it out of my shop and it seems like i have no first or second gear. sometimes its hard to put in reverse.
the movement of the shifter is there, and going fully into gear but it still feels like im in nuteral.
My question is, it the tranny shot or is there somthing that i shoud have done.
any help or ideas ?
thanks in advance
Jay

Yup fluid is up, we can drive the truck in 3rd gear. the clutch seems to be working in 3,4,5 gears. i spoke to a mechanic today and he figures the shift fork is bent or the syncros are buggered.
thanks for the reply

Sheldon, i had to presure plate and clutch off and it still looks new. its about 3/16 thick and all the centre springs still have shiney blue paint on them. the presure plate looks good too, all the fingers seem straight and not worn. when we installed this all, the new slave was meeting all the fingers at the same time. we could see over half of it thru the little instection grommet.
thanks for the reply

Wish I could help ya out more man, but sounds like you pretty much have it covered!
Ive had extremely good luck with my 5 speeds, and when something did screw up, it was like Chris said, and was low on fuel.

Id be interested in hearing what you find out is the problem when ya do man, and welcome also!
