Mercury Econoline/Wilkie area
I don`t know why some posters are sooo darn lazy, other than the colour is red, the motor does not run and it`s a 1960 there`s no real info on it. The very first thing I look for is the price & location!

Will guys,I talked to man with the econoline .He said it is a merc which got me all excited. But with that said, now he said that he is only taking bids. He will not sell it until all bids have had a chance to come in. For me..... That sucks big time...... what do you guys think a good bid for a rusty, dent, no bumpers ,not running beater is worth???????
Thanks

I figure that if a buyer is serious he/she will want to see stuff in person. Some of those ads with too much detail waste time entertaining tire kickers IMHO

I think you're mistaken. The more details provided, the less bothersome calls for more details received. Also, the fact that some people may have a long distance to travel for viewing, so the more info they have, the more apt they are to justify making the trip as a serious buyer! Basically, I feel that more details eliminate a lot more tire-kickers!

I kinda agree with Warren, but kinda not. Sometimes its nice to have a general idea about the shape of the vehicle(or whatever) you want to buy before you waste the time to go look at it.
I find that especially with parts trucks. I always ask if part x or panel x is in good shape, go to look at it, and what do ya know, its not in good shape like they said.
I went and looked at a shortbox box in birsay that supposedly had no rust and a dent. When I got there it had the dent, just like pictured, and one corner at the back of the box was rusted through. I still see his add on kijiji and it still says no rust.
