bolt pattern?

hello my question is... I own a 1984 f-350 diesel 1 ton . I recently acquired some stock wheels off a later model ford truck they are both 8-lug but the new set wont fit . What can i do if anything to make these wheels work? They would really look good on my truck. I believe the new wheels are off a 2004 super duty.

there is nothing you can do to make them work. your truck has a 8 on 6.5 inch bolt pattern, and the newer wheels have a 8 on 170mm wheel bolt pattern.
the difference is around 1/8 inch on each stud.

I heard you can get lug adapters or spacers to fix this problem call your local tire dealer. keep the little guys in business try them first before going to the chain stores.
