was thinking about buying some pro comp mud terrains on deep dish wheels, but wondering if i can stuff a 35 under my truck. as far as i know it doesnt have a lift and 33s are clearing, except for sharp turns(mud boggers). anyway to tell if its lifted or not? *and are those going to fit
I have some worn down 35's (about 34's now) on my 77. I did replace the front springs with new stockers. If I would do it again I would get 2" lift springs and trow them in, it would level it out better. I don't do much off roading now - due to bald tires but I haven't rubbed at all on the street. I am also running a 10" wide rim.
well, if the 33s are rubbing a little, the 35s are gona rub alot more. get a small lift, the coils are pretty cheap. i think these trucks need to run at least a 36.
I'm kinda wondering the same thing on my truck. I've got a 77 F-150, I'm completely re-doing the truck so it will most likely never be off road again. Someone has changed the front coils already, the front actually seems like it might sit just slightly higher than the rear, not really noticable though. I've got 33's on it now on 10 inch wide wheels. On craigslist there is a guy selling 15 x 14 aluminum Mickey Thompsons with 35s on them for $200! The tires aren't that great but thats a good price for the wheels. But I think that might a little too much wheel and tire, not sure. I think it looks great with 33s.
im not sure if i like 33s though, i use to think 33s were big, but now im wondering if they're big enough. and i thought maybe my 33s rubbed bc of the sidewalls on the super swamper boggers...
