Engine Stalls

I am a newby here and love the advice on this site. I am hoping that someone can help me out. I just bought a 69 F250 new years day I was driving it for about an hour and when I came to a light to stop the engine died. Can anyone help. The truck has 66256 original miles I bought it from the original owner and have the paper work for it.

Thanks

It's either your fuel pump went bad or your ignition coil is bad

We need a little help here. Did it act like it ran out of gas. Did it act like you turned off the key, did it restart,is it getting fuel and is it getting fire.
What is the history of the truck has it been sitting for a long time.
What engine do you have.

Thanks for the replies. It acted like it was out of gas. As well as like I just turned the truck off. It did restart but I had to keep the rpm's up by keeping my foot on the gas. It did sit for awhile but the original's owner's son has been a mechanic for over 20 years and he went through it and replaced all the hose all brake lines and master cylinder basically he went through the whole engine. I don't know if the spark plugs were replaced or the ignition coil or fuel pump. It has a new battery, new radiator new thermostat and a rebuilt 2 barrell carb. It seems like it is getting fuel and getting a fire. The engine is a FE360

Thanks for both of your inputs I really appreciate it. I want to eventually rebuild the motor but can't just yet.
