As of 3/12/2010, I'm an IT Production Specialist working the late shift at the Department of Health and Welfare's central office in Boise. Prior to that, I was an IT Programmer Analyst working the day shift at the same location. At least I'm still working, but the pay cut was an added 'bonus' I hadn't expected either.
If anyone is interested, another non-brand specific club I belong to has a Dyno Day event scheduled on May 16 in Meridian. If there's interest in this, I can create another thread with the info OR if you prefer, Micah, I can PM you with the information.

Hey there, been part of FTE and the Cali chapters for a lot of years now, but I'm finally moving out to Pocatello, ID to be closer to family and folks with similar interests. And hopefully buy a house down the line (what a concept... it's one that doesn't exist in Cali anymore ). Bringing the 86 F350 4x4 out, and the 62 T-Bird. Let the 63 4x4 go to my buddy... Just wanted to introduce myself, since I'll be in the area. Cheers folks!

Almost all my extended family is located in Poky. My pops (the black sheep) is the only one that took off from the area. Moved around with the folks my whole life, but spent a lot of time with cousins and my grandparents between Idaho, Utah & Wyoming. Ended up in Southern Cali, moved to Northern Cali (because Los Angeles is awful), but just can't afford to stay up there, and there's nothing selling me on staying. Too many regulations, fines, gun control, vehicle fees, etc, etc... I know plenty of good folks out here, but they can get off their butts and come visit
Came to visit the family in Poky in May, and fell in love with the area. Had a great time just hanging out with family, shooting, wheeling, hiking, etc. I can buy a house for what I paid in rent in Santa Cruz, have money to put into my projects, and not have to drive hours to pay to take the truck out in the dirt. It's a win/win situation as far as I can see.
Doing some carpentry work for the folks right now, and I'll be heading out in early Sept. Waiting for a trucking company to come grab the T-Bird soon, I'd rather them haul it than me in the Diesel with all my tools and stuff in the bed.
