Truck jumping when put into drive?

Truck jumping when put into drive?
What causes a truck to jump when going from Park to Drive? It doesnt feel like grinding or anything horrible...ie no crazy sounds. Just feels like shes raging to ride. Its a pretty huge jump though.

Its kind of hard to explain, it not missfiring or jerking...its running really smooth. But if you were outside you could def tell I was putting it into drive. I'm almost certain is the idle speed though. Its as if a huge vacuum(the carb) is changing its air flow and your getting a slight jump in its change.
