I gotta potential customer that says his truck has been shutting down about 5 times a day as he's driving it. He did say that it's been to the dealership for the cruise control recall, so I would imagine that the yalso did the cam position sensor change at the same time, but he doesn't know. I'll be able to tell when I see it though.
So basically I'm looking for any ideas as to what would cause this sporadic engine shut-down? Aside from a squealing belt, he says it runs just fine, so I'm guessing either CS or loose wires, wet connections? Thanks for any advice y'all can throw my way!
Hey Chris, no according to him it's running just fine, and then it dies. Starts right back up most of the time, but no prior indication that it's about to die. I'm really guessing the only thing it could be is the CPS. I'll have to run it by Ford to see if it's waranteed.
