Well, here's the downside...Huntsville got hit this evening by a small tornado causing alot of damage, mostly to trees and roofs...
The upside...I was able to take my rig down and drag trees around getting them off the roads that were impassible...and i had fun doing it...
So...i am really grateful that i have been able to get my rig fixed so i could give a hand...even though i had to leave once the paid calvary arrived...the po-po ran all the volunteers off...without even so much as a hand shake...wtf...anyway, i can give credit to my FTE family for giving me the knowledge needed to get my rig running again...so thanks guys...and gals...
That's cool. Why did the police run off volunteers?
They gave some lame excuse that they were trying to secure the area and then if they needed any help they would call for volunteers...they even ran off the neighboring county agencies that came with 20 rigs and a crap load of bodies to help...i just don't think they had a grip on reality...the 10 o'clock news told everybody to just stay out of the area...i was looking forward to spending all night down there helping...and my wife was gonna take lots of pics of me yanking trees around, but i guess i have to settle for what i did...and hope it all gets cleared up...
i would have shook your hand for helping. cause the way i see it, if i needed a ride in an ambalance and it couldnt get through because of trees on the road, and i knew that help came but got ran off because of the athorities, i would be quite hacked off!!!! so i say thanks for helping what you could
Very nice David, you did a service to your community and you should be proud...Tried to rep ya but, you know, police won't let me rep yaa. REP POLICE that is..
I often wonder if that's why cops have such a pi$$y demeanor...lol

At least you got to have some fun with the truck before being told to go home by the authorities.
Not sure, there were so many people just out walking around...if looting happened, it would just have happened...they were not prepared for this...i'm gonna go down in the morning just to take a bunch of pics, i'll see what the paid peeps got done...

If it ain't one kind of police, it's another....lol
LOL, yea, I don't like to bash police, I have law inforcement in my family plus friends but they hate to hear the "Give up the dounut for a minute" remark I make to them and we'll, you know.. There going to do what needs to be done, regardless, you did good, and they seen it, they were stressed with a situation.
STUPID FREAKING PO-POS! You see this is why they are taking our guns away from us, they don't want us to be able to defend ourselves when crap like this starts!
It's time to take our country back and make this country exactly what this forum is about, friends, family and networks of caring people, people that care for one another.
Government control needs to stop and the control needs to be released back to the people.
No wonder Revelation says that blood will run to the horses bridle, everyone's going to get PO'd and going to start taking lives!
Anyhow, Sir, I solute you!!
In regards to po-pos, I know a few, they are great people but it's like roomers, it takes 10 good people to make up for the 1 bad and if that one bad person is in control it takes 10 times more.
My little city (pop. 2500) depends on volunteers to help when things are bad. We have a small Police and Fire Dept. but they appreciate any help they can get, especially from people with trucks and tractors. Reps to you for helping my friend !
Hey guys...thanks so much for the reps...totally not why i posted this thread, but they're appreciated...I was glad to help out, i wanted to do more...i have to drive back down today to try and get some pics for ya'll...it was so dark last night that my phone pics just turned out black...i just really hope the paid personnell were able to get everything straightened out for those folks down there...the community is where most of my lawn customers are, and they are mostly pretty old, retired people from the military or NASA...most of them could never get outside and cut trees, or drag em around...alot of them can barely walk...the news reported this as a small F1 that skipped through the community @ 5 miles mostly just knocking down trees and ripping off roofs...no injuries were reported, which is such a good thing...
If you want to check out some pics of the damage, the local news channels have pics and videos...they are WHNT News 19, and WAAY 31...i think WAFF 48 may also have some stuff too, they were all there...anyway, thanks again for the reps...
