speedo reading about 20mph over
Hey guys, I am on a trip to the Appalachians with the family and starting today my 6.0 is reading about 20mph over. It is reading 20mph at idle and continues reading over at whatever speed I am going. Also, I am not sure if my truck has a block heater. If it does, how is the easiest way to find the plug. The owners manual says in the front under the grill but I haven't found it, if it has one. Starting hasn't been a problem but we are likely to get iced in the next couple of days. Thanks in advance.

Well, back in Florida and the speedo is now working fine. It was off less and less on the way back. I am guessing that the speedo on these trucks works off of a sensor by the wheel and I must have had some salt, mud, ice or something interferring. Unless somebody has a better idea or a more educated guess.

As far as your engine heater.. crawl under the engine on the driver's side and look up at the side of the oil pan. There should be a heavy electrical cord going into the side of the pan.. Following the cord back to the bumper area..
