CPS? and differences

Pretty new here and i just love this site, it and the people are so informative. I dont have a lot of my problems with my 7.3 love it so much and i dont really post unless i have a problem but i am wondering what the CPS is and the main difference between the grey and black thanks fellas

The CPS is the Cam Position Sensor. The CPS sends signals to the PCM so the injectors are fired at the proper time.

You will find that IH and Ford will only stock the gray ones now. Black OEM CPS's are not being produced. Robin's thread that he posted has more than enough reading on them.
