Smile Spark plug brand ?

I was reading on sparkplug.com that the Champion plugs are one piece for the V10. I was going to change my plugs this spring has anyone tried the Champions in their trucks? These plugs have a 5/8" hex instead of the 9/16" on the other plugs in this application. The plugs were $12.95 ea. but coil boots were Denso and they wanted $42.95 each.

Allot of people on the forum swear by the Autolite platinum spark plugs for the modular motors, so I bought a set. The engine runs fine with them, but the quality of the plug is poor. Made in Mexico and it looked like it.

Next time I am going back to my favorite band, NGK.

+1 on the NGK. I've used them in everything i've owned (cars, watercraft, dirtbikes/motorcycles) and have never had a problem or fouled one. In my last car I used the NGK iridium plugs and i'm in love with them. They made the idle silky smooth and bumped my mileage up 1-2 mpg.

EDIT: I had bosch platinum plugs in my mustang and hated them. I switched to regular autolite's and was happier. I couldn't find NGK plugs at the time for that particular car. I've had too many friends that did not like bosch platinums at all as well. I would recommend staying away from them. That's just my experience/opinion though.

Champions belong in lawn mowers and chryslers only, have no place in a ford. Like stated, NGK is a good plug for a ford, as is autolite (autolite is the same plug as motorcraft) atleast it used to be, pretty sure it still is.

Bosch Platinums are junk too, have had tons of cars over the years come in with problems and found bosch plugs, switch to an OEM plug and good to go.

Well, I got 105,000 miles out of my stocker Motorcraft spark plugs, and so far have almost 20,000 miles on the new direct replacement. After my tune-up and a couple of tanks of gas, my mileage went up around 1 to 1.5 mpg. My last tank of gas showed 16.55 mpg. I'm averaging about 15.5 over the last year or so since I've been keeping track. OH, and the Motorcrafts were only like $3.50 a piece. Easy money for something that just works.
