I think it will fit. In 92 I towed my 73 thunderbird from Iowa to maryland behind my 75 truck with a U haul trailer and the thunderbird is longer than my truck and weighs more. Not sure if the wheel base is longer though.
It should fit. We stuffed my 74 supercab short bed on one. Granted we had to leave the ramps out a bit to keep the thing from falling off the end of the trailer - but we made it.
Just be ready for a slow drive - as those trailers wander all over the place at anything above 50 or 55 mph...
I've got a "78 F100 single cab short bed and my only issues were the width of the trailer. I have american racing 10" wide wheels and i had to throw the stockers on to get the front wheels past the fenders on the trailer. So yeah if fit, however yours is a long bed and i don't know how much different the wheel base is. I still had about 2 1/2 to 3 feet to spare on the end of the trailer.
i pulled my 84 F-150 long bed on one & it didn't wander. just be carefull pulling a ford with a chevy. you might not makit all the way! FORD ROCKS LOL!!!

I had the same issue. They had stupid 10" wide wheels on the truck in the above pics and it just barely fit. But it did work.

The chevy D-max pulling the above truck home did just fine. While I agree OLD Fords rock - blind brand loyalty doesn't
So does Uhaul offer a trailer slightly wider? Cause like i said i had to take my purty 10" wide american racing's off and put on ugly black steel wheels. You know the ones that have the four long opens that you see on trailers. Yeah it made the truck look horrible and it looked like that all the way from Texas to California.
I had no problem towing my 70 f100 longbed, I've also towed my 79 with 33x12.5 tires I had to deflate the tires all the way down so the straps would fit
I towed my '74 Explorer LWB (133") from Boliver, TN to Arcade, GA. I had about 1 inch of the trailer bed left sticking out behind the rear tires, but it towed really well about 70 MPH even up and over Monteagle Mountain.
More pics of the entire truck on my cardomain page. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2537897
