did ford ever manufacture a 25plus gallon tank, if so what vehicle would i look to get one. My fuel tank is behind the rear axlw, so if i found a 31or 35 gal tank would it bold in?
I am not sure if ford made one. I think some of the Broncos had 25 gal tanks. I have a aftermarket 38 gal. one in my 75 F-100 4x4. It was pretty easy to put in. Just hangs down lower. Came with the longer bolts and spacers. Also the tube to extend you fuel pickup.

was it the LMC unit? I was looking at that and wondered the quality. I dont want to go to the hassle of dual tanks, and since I need to repair my float in the rear... all that much work saved.
did it basically just fit right in you just have to kill the spare right?
I wasn't sure on the size of the Bronco tanks, just knew they were bigger. I bought my 38 gal tank back in 98 when I last redid my truck. I either bought it from LMC or JC whitney. I think it was made in Canada. I painted mine red and you just bolt it in with the same bottom straps. Just longer bolts with spacers and you have to solder a piece of pipe onto the pickup tube. It came with all the parts and instructions. My fuel gauge will read full till it gets below 19 gals then it starts to come down. I like it. I can go on trips and not stop for gas very often even at 10 mpg. Just don't like to pay for the gas. LOL.
