When I bought my 2002 F250 the digital display that shows the milage did not work. When i took the truck to the stealership to have some recalls done they said they could tell how many miles it had on it once they hooked it up to the computer. My question is ....Is there some way they know the trucks computer has not been changed out...Is it linked to the V.I.N. number or something? They said it has 285,000 miles on it ....but it runs great the interior looks perfect...I know these trucks are capable of alot more miles than that, but this truck just does not look or drive like it has that many miles on it. Also just to add I just bought a Instrument cluster off of ebay for $40.00 with 90,000 miles on it that Im gonna put in it just because I want to be able to keep up with maintainance and I want to calculate fuel mileage.....so I may be hitting yall up for some more help if I run into any snags....
