I have an '06 F-350, 6.0L with a 4" MBRP turbo back exhaust and Edge Juice Platinum with Attitude programmer installed. I am considering installing the Banks Technicooler kit and Ram Air kit. Has anyone else gone with this kit and what are your thoughts on Banks claims for these kits?
Take the moeny you were gonna spend on the banks stuff, buy a SCT with a custom tune and throw the EGDE away. Then take the money you will save from not replacing your transmission since the edge is gone, and put some head studs it in.
Actually the intercooler that they have is about the only thing decent that they make.
Get rid of the Edge, if you are going to add a power enhancer make sure it does custom tunes. Two big choices are SCT and Spartan, I have used both, I prefer Spartan, but both will work. If you go with SCT get the X3 not the LiveWire.
Do not add an a/m intake on the 6.0. It won't flow more air until you are well outside the rpm range of a stock or tuned 6.0. Talk about it after you do bigger sticks and a bigger turbo. This doesn't even get into the poor filtration records that a/m intakes have with regard to the 6.0.
Boy, you guys are really against the Edge. What transmission problems are you talking about 06Silvercrew?
The main problem is that the in-line fuel modules don't properly tune the ECM(Engine) and TCM(tranny) and that causes issues with overheating, you'll have a scorched direct clutch before you know it(if you plan on keeping this truck for any length of time).
Shift on the fly type modules and/or "tuners" are mutually exclusive from properly tuning the truck's computers. They are neat in theory, but in practice they aren't good. Now you could get away with this stuff on the 7.3, but you can't on a 6.0.

The same one that destroyed my neighbor's '04 Excursion...
I'm not sure how long he had the Edge programmer on his, but is was long enough to blow up his EGR cooler, headgaskets, and all but destroy a virtually indestructible TorqShift transmission. It first killed his EGR cooler and the morons he kept taking it to, kept replacing his radiator instead of the EGR cooler. A few weeks after that, he said his transmission started slipping and it seemed like it was about to die. He was about to trade it when all hell broke loose on his truck. Ford somehow ended up buying his truck back and he now drives an '08 or '09 6.4 F-250, but still misses his Excursion everyday.
He was lucky, but you may not be so lucky...an SCT X3 with Spartan tunes is really the only way to with a 6.0.
Spartan's website only mentions 6.4 tunes, nothing for the 6.0. Am I missing something?
Yep, a not updated site(atleast not often). There are quite a few users on here that have his tunes with his new Phalanx. Trust me, he does them, he just hasn't updated his site.

Tex pretty much summed it up. Basically, like tex said the inline modules dont reprogram the Ecm, they "trick" the factory ecm. In a nutshell all the edge does transmission wise is up the line pressure all the way accross the board, not good.
Like stated, spartan's tuning or an X3 with a custom tune from inovativediesel.com is your best bet.
