My 2001 MH with 42k miles has begun a cold start issue. Engine cranks, fires, then stumbles at low rpm for a few seconds, then runs at high idel for a few seconds, then back to normal. Engine runs fine after this, towing, and all.
I read through some posts, seems like I could have gummed up throttle-body, IAC and EGR valve issues? I have not done any maint. to this area of the engine since I bought it with 17K miles.
Am I going in the right direction with this? Thanks.
Mine does the same thing, when it is 0 degrees or colder. My brother is an apprentice tech at Ford and says there is a PCM reprogram to fix the issue. Haven't tried it yet though.
