FE valve covers

Not much into crome covers but like the look of stock. years back I had pair that look flat across the top when mounted on motor instead of round. Does anyone no what years these came from.

i believe the valve covers you are describing are the pent-roof 427 covers. there are several types of these covers, but the only stamped steel, pent-roof, chrome covers that i know of, belong to the later 427, 64 or 65 and up. early 427 covers were rounded, later 428 cobra-jet covers were pent-roof, finned alunimum. some industrial 428s had a finned alunimum cover set just like the cobra-jet. you might try a set from a 65-66 352 pick-up and have them chromed, if you like the pent-roof look.

i assumed that you meant stock chromed covers from FOMOCO, now i realize you may have meant plain stamped steel covers with the pent-roof shape. anyway i hope i answered your question.
