Hesitation Problems

Hello all,
I have a 98' F-150 4.6L that is giving me some problems. I recently threw the code for cylinder #2 misfire. I went ahead and changed all the plugs and wires since I was already in the process of doing one. The truck has 180??? miles on it and is currently on its second set of plugs now. The problem is that I am still getting serious hesitation and above 50 mph my check engine light starts flashing. My code ready doesn't feel like working right now so I'm not sure on the code. Any ideas would be great. Also I do not have COPs if that helps. Thanks in advance.

You will need to read the codes and then post them here on this thread.

The CEL light flashes when the situation that causes the code to register is happening. So does it run poorly when the CEL is flashing??

It doesn't do any good to clear the code and not repair the truck, clearing the code does not repair anything.

Not providing the code to us defeats the purpose of the site.

I will try and get the truck in and get the codes read since my code reader does nothing when I plug it in. (Don't know what's going on there). The truck runs the same (poorly) whether the CEL light is on solid or flashing. I have checked the coils and they all checked out with the correct ohms. I just don't know where to go from here.

I agree with not clearing the codes unless you have fixed the problem however I have tried a couple of things and I haven't been able to clear them to see if it's fixing the problem since my code reader isn't working. Thanks again.

May be an O2 sensor issue as well. See if the codes pull anything regarding the sensors.
