Rev on idle

I have a 2005 6.0 with 92400 miles, on friday while i was on my way to a fair i came up to a red light, so i let of the gas and the truck went down to its normal idle, as i approached the light i heard my truck rev, i look down at the rpm's and it would bounce from around 500 to 900 give or take. Saturday i didnt drive the truck at all, and sunday i was leaving supercuts, pulled out to the light(I had my system turned up kinda loud) it felt like someone was pushing me from behind, so i look back nothing, turn down the radio and look at my rpm's, and they were jumping from 500 to 900 again, as far as today goes, havent driven the truck yet, will be sortly, will update if it happens again? This may sound nooby, but what does FICM stand for exactly???

Thought thats what it stood for, had new batteries and altenator put in, i was thinking that it was the FICM because when i had to replace the batteries, my old ones were so dead, that a minute after i got to walmart to have them replaced the truck died, so between that and the cold weather, my guess was FICM, i ran the batteries down before i knew what the FICM was and the potential problem, i had just gotten the truck and it was my first 6.0, at the time i was also not part of FTE forums, glad to be know, and steve thanks for the quick reponse
