I have a 99 PSD F 250 it has just started a new trick it will just shut off. I have replaced the CPS and it still does it I have an old style superchip in it the one that just plugs in to the ECM box with 3 settings on it i was told that they go bad. Has anyone else had this problem i took it out this morning to see if it will help and am going to dealer for some recall work I have a code reader and the only thing that comes up is the KAM senser code figured it was from changing it. i am kinda lost on this when it dies it will have the SES light come on and if I turn the switch off it will start back up so far the CPS that I have had go out in the past usually will not start back up. ANY IDEAS???????????
Is it still dying with the Superchip out?Battery cable clean and tight?Does it die after you hit a chug hole or just driving smooth?
Sorry......Welcome to FTE,Good folks here,we will get ya fixed

Just got back from the dealer it was about a 60 mi round trip it seem to run fine without the chip I am guessing that was the problem but i cant leave it like that HAHA I am going to get another chip for it after taking it out it is a dog it does have 250k on it all original priced some injectors today it seems to have a little blow by at the oil fill tube.I also have a stage 2 AFE cold air intake on it.WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK??????????I have been reading these forums none stop for 2 days and you guys seem to really know your stuff. Just want some opinions before i spend alot of money.I was looking into a TS performance chip any body got one installed?? If so how are they?
I have a TS 6-position,many have DP.They are both great chips and will give you what you want. The customer service is great for both as well.If you live in the south Tony may be your man.Clay(Riffraff)sells the DP as well. You will be pleased with either one.....Do not install the chip with the key in the ignition!!!!!!!!!

Your chip is made by TS, but the tunes are TDP (Tony). TS has their own tunes, which are nothing like Tony's. Glenn (03_PSD) had a TS chip and had Tony re-burn it with new tunes. He can tell you more about the difference between the two, but he's happy with the upgrade.
