i got an electric fan from a ford sho from my friend for free. for those that say it makes no difference this is my truck with the regular fan and with the electrical. the fan hardly kicks on unless i run it hard..in hot hot places i wouldn't recommend it unless you had 2 no electric fan is gonna flow more then a mechanical true i find i havent needed a lot of flow since it hardly kicks on now anyway
you cant tell me it does nothing

Nobody said you would not gain anything. Madison Avenue claims a 15 HP gain. My calculation is an 8 HP gain.

What is more impressive is you got that old truck to 100 mph! at night! while holding a video camera!

You are going to kill somebody, maybe yourself. GROW UP!

ahh hell i dont know how fast mine goes but its way past 85 doing 4500 rpms and u still had the clutch fan in the first video HAHAHA its loud like mine is.... all thats gunna change this weekend

going to have some GM parts on it so maybe it will last longer lol im j/k

8 horse power is alot maybe not a ton but its one hell of an improvement over the factorys 185hp

so if its 8 or 15 its fine by be especially beings it may give me a good reason to upgrade the alt.

but the great thing is i just have to cut about 1/4" off each side of the fan shroud thats on the firebird fans coz it has 2 little ears on each side that make it 1/2" wider than the face of the radiator so mounting its going to be easy

ohh god...we went through this in the burnouts thread i slowed down when people were around dude. reckless definitely, grow up? im working on tha too. but there werent any passengers in my truck and i slowed down when people were around. 100 isnt really all THAT fast if you think about your already going 65-70 mph on a freeway there is always a danger present when we drive no matter what theres always a risk to living, so you worry about your life and ill worry about mine and i promise to be responsible around other people

Ya know I can tell you that with this much torque on a motor that an electric fan will make no difference except at idle it will feel a little different with less rotation.

On my little tiny RX-7 12A that had maybe 120 hp and 90 torque? An electric fan was a huge thing and still is because ->torque<- in that motor is not very much and taking that off makes a huge difference on that little aluminum motor.

These big ol motors with heavy torque, I don't think its worth it unless you are putting on one for A/C or trying to free up space.

If anything here down south I highly reccomend putting on a fan for the Condensor mainly because every A/C we did vehicles without the fans had high high numbers on the gauges and were not normal. These systems are just not designed for these hot summers.

thats top veiw the ground is to wet to get a bottom one

the zip ties are there because before the radiator hose rode on the fan shroud and kept it off the idle pully on the belt tensioner and now that it isnt there i had to do that to keep it held up here it is suppose to be
