any brake pros here
on my 93 7.3 f250 i ve been upgrading my brakes. now does the abs modulator ever need to be replaced??? i think this can also be called a, r a b s control valve. these things are mounted on the front frame rail way under the brake master. rock auto has it for like 145 bucks. im sure mine is original.

If this is a problem your having I'd suspect the rubber brake hose first. The inner lining can split and act as a checkvalve not allowing the fluid to release back.

i ve changed everything the back rubber brake hose, the back steel lines, new master, new booster, new wheel clyinders. but i ve never changed the abs module. sometimes it does seem like the back brakes are slow to release, like after a hard quick stop.
