sloppy shifter, ignition switch removal

My shifter won't engage in any of the gears, it feels like it's disconnected.
I'm trying to get the strg. column shroud off but I don't know how to get the ignition switch off so I can remove the top part of the shroud?

Pull the covers off the bottom of the dash underneath the steering column, look back near the firewall and the cable snaps into a bracket, it probably is out of the holder, factory installs used a wire tie to secure it in the bracket. Anyway, with that bottom removed, you can see the shift cable and will be able to diagnose from there.

The ignition switch, with the bottom shroud off, look underneath the ignition switch, little tiny hole has a pin inside it, with key in accessory, you can push it in using a pick and simply pull the lock out.
