A.C. compressor clicking constantly
I recently bought a 2003 f150 king ranch and the A.C. compressor clicks every couple of seconds when I have the climate control on auto or defrost. It does not happen when I have it on climate control set on floor or panel. Please help.

Your refrigerant is low on charge.There is a leak somewhere in the a/c system.If you want to get rid of the noise before you have it fixed,unplug the electrical connector at the compressor clutch.When you have it filled up with refrig.,have the shop install some tracer dye to help find the leak more easily.The climate control system will activate the a/c system to remove the moisture from the air when on defrost and will usually be on a/c also on the "auto" setting.
